Akagi

Akagi is a Mahjong anime which is about a person called Akagi Shigeru. He is just a high school student, but no ordinary student. He got into a chicken run fight -

(Driving cars as fast as possible and the one who breaks first loses) After winning the chicken run, he hides in the only open shop, which at that time, was the mahjong bar. Seeking shelter from the police, he quickly learns how to play mahjong and joins in the people who are playing mahjong. However, even though he is a beginner, because he was so close to death before, he takes unimaginable risks and will almost always win by psychologically psyching the guy out.

Personal Comment : The anime graphics are horrible. Everyone in the anime looks like the guy above - Long sharp noses, and bad lighting. The storyline also is very very unrealistic. However, the only saving point for this anime is that it shows you alot about Japanese Mahjong and how it is played.

Ah My Goddess!

Ah My Goddess! (Aa! Megami Sama) is about a University student called Keiichi Morisato. Morisato has absolutely no luck in anything he does - Lovelife, School, Clubs, etc. In actual fact, he was born under a unlucky star. One evening, Morisato was left at the dorm with loads of chores given by his senpai (as an excuse for him not to get bored), but given his kind nature, he does them without question. For his final task, he was to call his upperclassman to report to him, but as it appears, he "dialled the wrong number" and got into contact with the 'Goddess Help Line' Shortly after, A goddess named Belldandy enters his room through a mirror, and blesses him with 1 wish. It was after that when his wonderful school life began. Later on in the anime Belldandy's 2 sisters join in the fun, so Morisato has to deal with 3 beautiful Goddesses under his roof.

Genre: Comedy, Romance, Slight Action, Supernatural

Status : Complete, with movie and sequel

Personal Comments: Personally, I found this anime to be quite amusing, as the comedy content is very very high. The storyline was also okay, and the anime did not make the same mistake as many other anime - Draggy storylines at first, then rushing everything into 3 episodes.

Hi all. Basically, this website is starting out as a school project to develop my own website. But if things go well, I'm hoping to continue and maintain it myself.
